We’re Recruiting – Cyber Security Consultants

Are you hoping to work with like-minded people contributing to important Cyber Security projects? Arcanum employ 65% ex-military with many of the remainder being forces spouses, children etc.
Do you want to break-in to a cyber career but are not certain how to go about it?  We are happy to give resettlement help and support whether you come to us to work or not.
Do you already have a grounding in cyber and want to transfer it to a civilian consultancy role? We know how to take your existing skills, add to them and set you on the path to success.

The knowledge and experience you’ve gained over your career are valuable when dealing with key stakeholders you will be interfacing with regularly, but more important is your baseline knowledge and general interest in cyber security.

Arcanum Cyber are a well-established, forces-friendly, cyber security consultancy working mainly in Defence, but with an increasing and diverse client base. We don’t expect you to be the complete package, but we would hope that you at least know your way around JSP604/440  and have some idea as to how Security Accreditation and Security Assurance Coordination is delivered in Defence, or you may have experience in another cyber security related area such as CNI. We’ll take care of the next level of training required.

The people we are looking for may be employed in:

  • Conducting audits of technical, physical and procedural security at client sites;
  • Conducting Risk Assessments;
  • Designing, engineering or managing new and existing IT systems;
  • Advising and assisting in the specification, design, and implementation of security mitigation measures for new and existing IT projects;
  • Producing requisite Security Accreditation evidence for HMG IT systems;
  • Designing, engineering or conducting security audits on CNI OT systems;

Training provided as necessary, including wider cyber development training.

Predominantly home based but will include time spent on client sites, averaging 2-3 days per week. Must be willing to travel to client and supplier sites throughout UK, but predominantly in the West Country and South-Central England.

We encourage flexible working hours where applicable and we pride ourselves as being a “grown-up company for grown-ups”. We provide a good package of benefits and perks and pay around 48-58K depending on experience and qualifications.

We don’t specify any particular skills or qualifications, but you are probably experienced in an area such as Intelligence, Communications or IT, preferably with a demonstrable cyber security element. Certifications and qualifications in any cyber related area, such as IT Security, Cloud Security, Network security, Security Architecture, Penetration Testing or Digital Forensics will help make your application stand out.
