Arcanum Information Security have been awarded the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award by the Ministry of Defence. Gold is the scheme’s highest level and recognises employers who actively support the Armed Forces community and also encourage others to follow their lead.
Arcanum have been recognised as an exemplar in the Cyber Security Industry, in recognition of their work and continued commitment to all parts of the Armed Forces, particularly veterans. Arcanum have been actively employing veterans since the company’s formation in 2008 and are now routinely recruiting through the Career Transition Partnership. In addition, they promote and support the Reserves and Cadet Forces and have recently been an early-adopter of the Jobs for Spouses scheme.
It remains rare for a small company to receive the Gold Award and Arcanum hopes this will encourage others to do more to support the Armed Forces in any way that they can.
Jane Chappell, Arcanum’s Operations Director said, “We are thrilled to be receiving the Gold Award. Our policy of recruiting highly skilled and experienced service leavers has been a proven success over the years. We are also very proud that some of our team have felt able to become reservists, as we give them every encouragement and opportunity to continue to serve”.
Lawrie Abercrombie, Arcanum’s Technical Director commented, “The Gold Award is an honour. I am really pleased that we have recently been able to extend our proactive recruitment initiatives to include spouses and families of serving military and veterans.”
