How to Apply
We want to make your transition from the military as straightforward and accessible as possible. If you are interested in completing a Civilian Work Attachment with Arcanum, we encourage you to take these first steps today.

Short Statement
Provide a short statement (100–200 words) outlining your intended transition timeline, areas of interest within cyber security, and what you hope to gain from a Civilian Work Attachment
We will review your application and arrange an informal discussion to understand your goals and alignment. If suitable, we will agree a placement scope, duration and location. Following your attachment, high-performing individuals may be invited to progress into our permanent recruitment process.
During your placement, you can expect:
Exposure to key cyber security disciplines including audit & assurance, risk consultancy and penetration testing
Insight into real-world client engagements across Defence, Government and Critical National Infrastructure
An understanding of how consultancy operates in a commercial environment
Personal guidance on transitioning into cyber security and building a civilian career pathway
Attachments are flexible in duration (from a few days to several weeks), tailored to individual goals and service timelines. Our Civilian Work Attachments run on a remote basis (as that is how our company operates), with the option for some in-person engagement dependant on locations and availability.
As with all Civilian Work Attachments, placements are unpaid and undertaken whilst still in service, allowing both you and Arcanum to assess suitability without long-term commitment.
